Good use of Bess as well.Īlibi in Ashes: I don't really get why people don't like this game. Legend of the Crystal Skull: I went back and forth with this one, but realized I really like the mystery behind the Crystal Skull itself, and the Bruno side quest was actually pretty fun (I don't mind the cemetery puzzle at all). Pretty good payoff and I always enjoy coming back to play. Last Train to Bluemoon Canyon: Great use of the Hardy Boys. I love all the mini-games and will always happily replay them. Ok, actual spoiler here: OF COURSE DEIRDRE WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND US! I should have been suspicious from the get go.ĭossier Games: Guys, I love these games. The twist is also amazing in my opinion all around. I enjoy the puzzles and they all make sense in the context of the game. What a completely fascinating plot line with Tesla and the overall mystery. Again, some genuinely scary stuff goes down in this game and it strikes exactly the right tone.ĭeadly Device: Bear with me, as I know this is not a universal feeling for this game, but man did they finally get murder right in these games. Stay Tuned for Danger: Can you catch a theme with these older games and their place in the "iconic" tier for me? The characters in the game really set it over the top for me and the villain in the end feels earned. The kidnapping plot and delusion of the villain in the end is genuinely scary, but it's not too much. The Final Scene is iconic to me because it shows how far these games can really push the creep factor when it wants to, but in a tasteful way. The game also has the classic old school feel that is always fun to play. Part of the charm and incredible staying power of these games is how some of them loop into the rest of the universe as a whole. Treasure in a Royal Tower: This ends up in the iconic area mainly for the first real introduction to a side character that keeps popping up (looking at you, Beatrice Hotchkiss!). The characters are all fun to interact with and culprit makes sense and works well with the side quest! Everything in this game ends up well earned. Haunted Carousel: This is mainly about nostalgia, but I also really enjoy replaying the puzzles in this game. Also, our first introduction to Samantha Quick!! A side character that pays off (and I hope, keeps paying off in future games). The locale is extra fun and I really enjoy working with the police. Scopa is my favorite minigame of all time. Phantom of Venice: I always love replaying this game. And the major chore in this game is actually very fun #snackshopbossforlife.

There are plenty of twists, including one that is AMAZING the only twist I've ever really been blown away by. The puzzles are fun and not too difficult to solve. I love all of the characters and conversations.

Warnings at Waverly Academy: My favorite game of all time. I've put everything in spoiler mode just in case. Note: There are some minor spoilers here, but no final villain or anything. I've finally gotten around to making my tiers for each ND game! I love seeing everyone else's and look forward to seeing more.
